Did you know that expressive writing can reduce depressive symptoms and, in general, help with stress. Most expressive writing interventions ask you to write for 20 minutes on 3 days consecutive days. If you can write for more days, you will have more effects. But, these effects may not last after a couple of months. This makes sense. It is a short intervention and probably won’t change your entire life. I imagine, with some consistent writing every now and again, you probably can really help yourself when you can’t talk to others.
